My Early Christmas Present to Myself!

My new buddy.

I saw this Chinese art figurine in the store window the other day, and I knew I had to have it. The vibrant red color fits so well on the cement bench. It's the little things that make the whole room pop.

Wall of Love!

Love Me, Love Me Not!

The DIY project turned out great. Who knew gift wrapping paper and silk flower petals could make the room look so romantic. Let's hope the editor from Home & Decor likes it too. I'm excited about tomorrow's photo shoot. It's about time to get some professional photography on this blog!

It's Raining Men!

Works from a local artist, Chye.

Dess introduced me to a local artist called Dick Lim (a.k.a. Chye). Dick is a veteran in the advertising/graphic industry. Returning to his first love, he launched his own fine art gallery on Westbourne Road featuring his oil paintings in a variety of styles, themes and techniques. Check out his other works: http://www.d-artstudio.com.sg/.

We are bringing SEXY to the living room!

Tis The Season To Be Jolly!

Nothing smells more like Christmas than a real tree!

This year's theme will be "We are Family!" I'm going to ask friends and family to bring ornaments when they come to my Christmas parties. It'll be a meaningful gesture to make the tree personal and filled with love!

Powder Room Photo Tour

Now my guests don't have to fight over one toilet.

The powder room is finally completed. The corner basin took the slow boat from China and arrived last Friday. The plumber install it in a couple of hours. It looks good.

We may have been too generous with the space. It's a huge powder room!

Green Thumbs at Work

Finally made it to the nursery.

We spent over 3 hours at the nursery last week and I came home with a "mini" heatstroke. But the effort was definitely worth it.

Last on the list, art shopping. We found a local artist who does commissioned work. We may give him a try and get some original work.

My First Overseas Guest - Karen W.

Karen, thanks for the lovely flowers.

We had a dinner party last Monday. It was Karen's first visit to Singapore's public housing. I think it was the "Uniquely Singapore" experience for her!

Post-Handover: My Girls Have Moved In

We have been working on the touch-ups and corrections for the past 2 weeks. We are almost done (I hope so!)

The decorative pieces should be put up over the next 2 weeks. Dess and I have discussed how we are going to decorate each room. We'll order the plants when I'm back from London. We need to get the flat ready for the photo shoot at the end of this month. I'm excited!

First up, my Marilyns, of course.
